: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands. Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the transmission crossmember.

:   4.4L illustration shown, 4.0L and 2.7L Diesel are similar. Remove the transmission support insulator.   Remove the 4 bolts.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.   Clean the component mating faces.   Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm (44 lb.ft).
